Customer Service Representative:

Customer service representative to provide day-to-day service and direct support to new and existing policyholders.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide backup to receptionist with agency phone system.
  • Proficiency in typing and ability to document client records in a timely manner.
  • Answer incoming calls from policyholders and assist with inquiries and concerns regarding policy details, coverage limits and billing inquiries.
  • Maintains print and electronic records and files as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of various insurance products and policies or ability to be a quick learner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and sales skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Licensed to sell insurance in applicable state or ability to obtain license within first 6-months.
  • Two years of related experience preferred but not required.
  • Prior customer service experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
