JPMorgan Chase Electronic Communications Controls- Central Team Lead - Executive Director in Jersey City, New Jersey

The Firmwide Electronic Communications Central Team is seeking a strong Executive Director candidate to lead this important program for the Firm. This individual will set the strategy & planning for this team, ensure appropriate and effective governance, ensure execution of all ongoing tasks, reporting & analytics, and manage relationships with all Control Management teams across all Lines of Business and all Corporate Functions. This role has extensive interaction with senior leaders across the firm and requires strong communication / relationship building skills.

Job Summary

As an Executive Director within the Firmwide Control Programs team, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of highly motivated team members, ensuring the consistent execution and continuous improvement of our Electronic Communications program. In this role, you will interact with various departments such as Risk Management, Compliance, and Legal, playing a critical role in promoting interactions with Senior Management, Auditors, and Regulators. This role offers you high visibility across all Lines of Business and Corporate Functions, providing a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Setting and executing the global E-Comms program strategy while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements relating to electronic communications

  • Subject Matter Expert: Acting as a Subject Matter Expert on the E-Comms program to all Lines of Business and Functions across the JPM franchise, including interacting with JPM's senior leadership team, all lines of business, functions, auditors, and regulators.

  • Policies & Procedures: Managing the firmwide E-Comms related policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with all JPM documentation standards.

  • Repatriation: Responsible for the firmwide repatriation of records related to E-Communications that have occurred on personal devices, in violation of Corporate Policy

  • Applications & Reporting: Partnering with application development teams to ensure E-Comms related applications meet customer needs. Partnering with reporting teams to ensure E-Comms related reports and dashboards meet customer needs.

  • Learning & Development: Partnering with the Control Management, Human Resources, and Compliance teams to ensure E-Comms related learning modules are appropriate, assigned to relevant employees, are completed in a timely fashion, and meet E-Comm related needs.

  • Firmwide Messaging: Partnering with Compliance and Legal to develop and deliver electronic communications related messages, which may be required across Lines of Business or Functions. This includes overseeing the annual E-Comms communications plan for the firm, which involves ensuring consistent messaging across Executive Communications, CCOR bulletins, BCC meetings, All hands / town hall meetings, Digital signage, etc.

  • Quality Testing: Working with Control Management Quality Assurance teams to develop and implement an E-Comms related QA program.

  • People Management: Managing a global team that is responsible for working across lines of business and functions.

  • Influencing: Navigating a diverse organization with competing priorities and Influencing staff at all levels of the organization

  • Communications: Writing executive level communications, e-mails, presentations; Presenting concepts and policies with confidence and authority

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • Experience: 10+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, risk management

  • Key Attributes for ideal candidate:

  • High level of professionalism, extremely detail oriented, with exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Keen sense of discretion in working with sensitive, employee-specific SMS and electronic messages conducted on personal devices, in violation of the firm's Communications policy.

  • Proven Leadership and Influencing skills: An individual that has proven experience taking ownership and having accountability for the repatriation of records on a firmwide basis.

  • Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Experienced dealing with Legal and Compliance, on sensitive policy and policy exception related matters

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; exceptional collaboration and relationship building skills.

  • Strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience in compliance preferred
