Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff including employee communications, training, discipline, and evaluation responsibilities

  • Drive engineering/customer satisfaction through detailed focus on test readiness and quality of testing.

  • Provide direction and support for an assigned hourly testing team encompassing EHS, Quality, Material, Process, and Delivery

  • Ensure labor alignment matches Engineering and Business priorities

  • Planning, creating, and executing labor plans for all shifts, based on engineering requirements, manpower (hours) and equipment availability, part availability, and develop recovery plans when demand is not met.

  • Lead and support all assigned Continuous Improvement Activities

  • Work with the Team Leads to develop and execute training plans for all operators to ensure they have the skills needed to do their jobs and are sufficiently cross trained to optimize resource usage safely and correctly

  • Provide clear and accurate communication to the work group. Ensure follow-up on issues and concerns are addressed in a timely manner

  • Troubleshoot and solve operation problems when identified

  • Promote culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and collaborative problem solving

  • Work with engineering, maintenance, and sourcing to communicate work schedule and schedule necessary resources to support the company

  • Responsible for all Time and Attendance functions

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • Associate degree or an equivalent degree in a related field

  • Prior experience in supervising and managing cross functional teams

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to motivate and engage students in the learning process

  • Strong knowledge of the subject matter

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environment

Desired Skills:

  • Strong managerial, communication, coaching & mentoring skills.

  • Well organized and knowledge of Test Development, Planning, Execution, PLC Systems, Project management, and reading electrical & mechanical prints.

  • Ability to Interact with multiple stakeholders at all the levels.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Supervisor will be required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.

  • May also need to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.

  • Typical 8-hour days, plus lunch/ 40-hour weeks/ with the possibility of overtime/ off shift.
