We do this to ensure we are shipping high-quality software that meets our customer’s high expectations. We perform manual testing, user-centric testing on watchOS within Apple’s ecosystem, focusing on the customer experience. You’ll utilize a test-driven approach to assess how are products feel to help us deliver best-in-class user experiences to our customers. As a member of our fast-paced group in Software Quality, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape and improve the software that allows our products to surprise and delight millions of Apple’s customers every day.

Description

You'll join a dynamic and fast-paced team of manual testing engineers to ensure that our software meets the high-quality bar Apple is known for. Part of your responsibilities will include testing like a user while being vigilant about every issue that is encountered during a test pass. You will become extremely fine-tuned in assessing the impact of each bug on a customer’s overall experience. You will process results, draw meaningful conclusions and present impactful data to our internal partners. You will help and support existing Python toolsets for result process automation. You will gather user data telemetry and update existing user flows. You must be flexible and able to bounce between varied tasks efficiently. You must have a passion for exceptional user experience and a dedication to delivering the highest quality products for both our customers and our team members.

Minimum Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years working in manual software testing

  • Proficiency in Python programming

  • Advanced proficiency with watchOS or similar operating systems

  • Ability to investigate and debug difficult problems and independently work towards results

  • Ability to independently lead initiatives

  • Passion for delivering great user experiences to customers

  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail

  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a requirement due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in QA

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $107,500 and $223,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
