Elevance Health HEDIS Analytics Developer Consultant in CARY, North Carolina

HEDIS Analytics Developer Consultant

Location: This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The HEDIS Analytics Developer Consultant will be responsible for developing and executing more complex data mining analyses.

How you will make an impact:

  • Determines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions.

  • Performs modeling of information sources and flows.

  • May coordinate the activities of a project team and monitor project schedules and costs for own projects.

  • Develops strategic report applications from the Data Warehouse.

  • Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues.

  • Develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.

  • The majority of time will be spent managing multiple contracts to ensure regulatory and state reporting.

  • Responsible for tracking, identifying issues, reviewing, and analyzing data for contracts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, & Experiences:

  • PC, spreadsheet, and database skills are strongly preferred.

  • Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is strongly preferred including SQL & Excel.

  • The ability to manipulate large sets of data is strongly preferred.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills strongly preferred.

  • Experience with government-based insurance programs preferred.

  • HEDIS knowledge including HEDIS value sets and specifications experience preferred.

  • Project management experience preferred.

  • Experience with HEDIS Certified Software preferred.

  • Experience with Tableau is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with SQL Server relational database, developing complex queries, & querying data warehouse strongly preferred.
