Summer Advantage USA Academic Teacher in Carbondale, Colorado

Academic Teacher

The opportunity: The Academic Teacher is the primary leader in the classroom to ensure the academic growth and skill development of their assigned scholars. As the Academic Teacher, you will lead daily math and reading lessons, and provide small group instruction, bringing our curriculum to life.  As the Academic Teacher you will also be responsible for ensuring that your Teacher Assistant is engaged in the lesson by supporting scholars, leading small group sessions, and supporting the lesson delivery.   

Successful applicants are current licensed teachers who would like to expand their experience and have a strong desire to fill a significant gap during summer months with well-rounded, high quality learning.

 

The Details 

Key Deliverables: 

  • 2 months gain in academic skills for scholars in assigned classroom

  • Creating a learning environment that is supportive and fosters positive growth

  • Ability to work the entirety of the program (including attending training prior to program start)

     

    Experience and Education Requirements : 

  • Valid State Teaching Certification required; Math and/or Reading endorsement preferred

  • Previous classroom experience required
