Goodwill of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohi Parenting Skill Instructor/Family Coach in Canton, Ohio

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is currently seeking a Parenting Skill Instructor/Family Coach to join our team in Canton, Ohio.

You will teach parenting skills and appropriate decision-making techniques to individuals who are at risk of or have previously lost custody of their child.

The services will be provided in a classroom setting and/or at home, depending upon the needs of the family. Consistent guidance, direction, and support should be provided to the individual that correlates with their court-ordered case plan, program goals, and necessary lifestyle changes to promote a functional family unit.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Child Development or 5 years of experience working with families and children.

  • Certificate in First Aid and CPR required. First Aid and CPR training will be provided by the agency.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and automotive insurance. Must regularly provide the agency with proof of valid automotive insurance.

  • Travel within communities served.

  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including but not limited to inside, sedentary work; constant bilateral reaching at all levels; constant handling/fingering; fine finger for computer operation and writing; frequently stand, sit, and walk. Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs; ability to walk up to 60 feet distance; occasionally climb, balance, stoop/bend, and crouch/squat.

    This is a full-time, hourly position. Background and FBI/BCI checks are required.
