Hyatt Banquet Supervisor in BARCELONA, Spain

Description:

Banquet Supervisors coordinate with event planners, kitchen staff, and service teams to ensure the smooth flow of events, from preparation through service to breakdown. Typically, they lead a team of banquet servers, assigning tasks and maintaining a high standard of service. The Banquet Supervisor also handles guest inquiries, resolves any issues that may arise during an event, and ensures that all aspects of the event, including food and beverage service, meet established standards and timelines.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of banquet operations and customer service are essential for success in this role. Additionally, the Banquet Supervisor collaborates on inventory management, maintains banquet equipment, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations to create memorable and seamless events for guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Oversee all aspects of banquet events, including setup, service, and breakdown, ensuring they proceed smoothly and efficiently.

  2. Supervise and lead a team of banquet servers and support staff, assigning tasks and ensuring they deliver excellent service.

  3. Act as a liaison between event planners, kitchen staff, and service teams to convey information and ensure the success of the event.

  4. Provide exceptional customer service to event attendees, addressing inquiries and handling any issues or special requests that may arise during the event. Ensure that all aspects of the event, including food presentation, table settings, and overall ambiance, meet or exceed established standards.

  5. Maintain a strict schedule to ensure that events progress as planned, including timely serving of dishes and any planned activities or speeches. Monitor inventory of banquet supplies, including tableware, linens, and other event-related items, and request replenishments as needed.

  6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety guidelines, and take appropriate measures to prevent accidents or hazards during events. The colleague is responsible for all tasks of this job and other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:
