The role:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Project Manager within our Air Combat and Electronic Attack (ACEA) Program team at RAAF Amberley. Embedded within the Change Team - your mission will be to manage projects to enhance the capabilities of Defence’s F/A-18 Super Hornet and EA-18 Growler Fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and management of all assigned projects within the Change Team.

  • Embodied in this role is the responsibility and accountability for ensuring that all project goals are achieved, all customer expectations are met or exceeded.

  • Responsible for maintaining and improving customer/client satisfaction.

  • Responsible for planning, control and reporting of projects.

  • Project risk and issue management.

  • Coordination of project deliverables as per requirements.

  • Provide key communication and stakeholder management for assigned projects.

  • Leadership and management of the Raytheon ACEA Embedded Team.

The person:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Project Management or equivalent

  • Demonstrated skills in financial cost control utilising earned value principles

  • Proven understanding of the defence environment - with a minimum of 8 years in Project Management and / or engineering on Defence sustainment support projects

  • Proven high standard of written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance

  • Proven in-depth experience mentoring multidisciplinary teams, to include organising, prioritising, and scheduling work assignments.
